In Memory

Judy Wolfe

Judy passed away after suffering a stroke in Lindsay, California, on March 31st, 2019.

Born to Ray and Lucy Wolfe at Chanute AFB, Illinois on December 5, 1951, she was the youngest of two siblings. Judy attended Lompoc High School (1969) and Allan Hancock Jr. College (1972).

Judy was a very talented individual. She had amazing calligraphy skills and spent many years working with her mother personalizing woodcrafts at the Lompoc Flower Festival and various other craft shows. She developed and continued her calligraphy craft by selling personalized signs, banners, and merchandise online.

Being ever-creative, photography was also a passion of hers. She won many awards at the county fair for her photographs, which helped her start her own business in Solvang, California selling her art. Judy also worked at various establishments in Solvang and San Joaquin Valley as a waitress and a salesperson.

In 2002, Judy purchased a ranchette in the San Joaquin Valley and has resided there ever since. This was her little paradise - she was able to care for and raise all her beloved animals. Over the years she had horses, peacocks, goats, pot belly pigs and many other farm animals. Additionally, she was actively involved in various horse and animal rescue groups. She enjoyed sitting out on the front porch inhaling the fresh air and admiring the beauty of nature.

Judy is survived by her sister, Kathy (Alan) McKay, nephew, Sean Capshaw of Oklahoma, nieces, Sheree (Scott) Stocklin and Danette Wolfe of Florida. She was an auntie to many. She will be missed by many friends and relatives and especially her companion and pit fur baby, “Angel”. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ray Wolfe and Lucy Wolfe Johnson, and her brother, Rodney Wolfe.

Aside from being a gifted artist and an avid animal lover, Judy was a wonderful, generous, and kind friend, aunt, and sister. Though she is no longer with us, she will remain in our hearts forever.

Private family services will be held at a later date.
